Without a doubt, it is the most famous and crowdiest beach on Margarita Island. This beach is the island’s longest, widest, busiest and most serviced beach. El Agua is 4 Km long, 30m wide, rough waters, golden sand, lined with huge coconut palms, and beneath them, restaurants that extend all along the waterfront. Most of the restaurants offer showers and toilets as well as a long list of tempting dishes, local ones as well as international ones.
Here, you will find all type of conveniences. Bungee jump, ultra light plane rides, music concerts and many sport activities. But the most common beach activities are to walk along the water’s edge, to eat fresh sea food, to drink cocktails and as a matter of course tan in the sun. A cool and shady boulevard runs along the beach. Located at the beginning of the boulevard is a small picturesque free market where you can by beach towels, sun glasses, sandals, beach wear, tanning lotion and much more at reasonable prices.
This beach is very popular among both locals and visitors because of beauty and variety of services. Huge beach parties are organized in the tourist season. This is definitely one of Margarita's beaches you won't want to miss.

Playa Parguito - the surfers beach
Parguito beach is 900m long and 20m wide. It has strong surf and golden sand. The south east end is more visited and has beautiful palm trees. This is the Surfer’s spot and that’s why it has a young personality.
The entrance to this tropical surfing beach is located about 2½ km (about 1½ miles) south towards Porlamar from Playa El Agua. Playa Parguito has a different feel than Playa El Agua in that the beach width is narrower. In the corner where most of the activity is located the waves get large enough to attract the surfers of Margarita Island.
There are a number of restaurants offering their services during daylight hours including the renting of chairs and umbrellas. Next to Playa El Agua, this is one of the favorite meeting places on weekends and national holidays for the Venezuelans. Due to the width of the beach it can get a little congested on weekends.
A good walk starts at the right hand side of the beach, by climbing the hill and following the path. You are leaving Parguito and going towards "Puerto Abajo". Along this walk can be found a series of caves known only by the more adventurous (and caution is advised). One of them is called "The Witches Cave", so called since the Colonial times, because a witch hid there from the Conquistadores and their faith. The story ends with the witch changing into a fish, strange and black. Many people have said they have seen its shadow in the water.

Playa Guacuco - the peaceful beach
Playa Guacuco is a wonderful and peaceful beach with beautiful white sand and crystal blue water. Not as crowded as other beaches north, with bigger waves. Guacuco Beach is 2 Klm. long and 20 Mts. wide.
Playa Guacuco is situated on the eastern coast of Margarita island. The beach itself is quite pretty, with palm trees reaching near the water, and fairly calm waves. The beach gets its name from clams - you can basically stand in the shallow waters, reach down into the sand, and pick them. At places, the sand on the beach itself is almost covered with lots of shells and shell pieces.
It is easy to find a beach chair, and a few places sell drinks and snacks. In the middle of the beach is a the mouth of a small creek that runs down some rocks and then on to the beach. Kids like playing in it.
Playa Guacuco is one of the finest beaches in Margarita, not so far from Porlamar, crystal blue water and not as crowded as other beaches north.
Restaurants:
A good beach seafood restaurant is Amanecer. Simple but good service and prices.

Playa El Yaque - the windsurfing beach
Probably the world's best beach to practice sports as kitesurf and windsurf due to its strong winds during the whole year with velocities up to 30 knots. This beach houses international competions every year.
Playa El Yaque is located south of the airport. It is one of the main international tourists destinations in Margarita Island. White sand, warm and calmed waters besides strong sea winds are the main features of this paradisiac place.
Windsurfers, kitesurfers, non-surfers, doesn´t matter who, they all gather in the numerous beach bars after sunset to enjoy one of the delicious fruit cocktails served there and chat about their exploits, new kitesurfing tricks and simply sharing the fun of the day and building up expectations for the next day. The best daylight beach parties during the high seasons that you won't want to miss.
